Amy Winehouse's Biography

Amy Jade Winehouse was born on September 14, 1983 and is an English jazz and R&B singer and songwriter. She was born in the Southgate area of London to a Jewish family with a history of jazz musicians. She received her first guitar when she was thirteen, and after she had been expelled from stage school at 16, she was singing professionally. Tabloids seem to focus on her wild behavior, heavy alcoholic consumption, and rumors of rehab. Her albums include Frank and Back to Black.
